Harrison Family Vets Didsbury

Harrison Family Vets Didsbury

In some of our previous articles we have looked at some of the local vets we have here in Manchester and the topic of today’s article is Harrison Family Vets Didsbury. We will look at a range of factors from information we are able to obtain online but as always we welcome your comments, especially if you have personal experience of this vet.

Who Are Harrison Family Vets?

Harrison Family Vets are a family owned, independent vets that tend to be located in modern spacious buildings. That’s certainly true of the Didsbury branch which is a very modern looking building, located on the very busy road known as Princess Road. The same is true of the other branches of Harrison Family Vets which are located in the following locations:

  • Kingswinford near Dudley
  • Reading, Berkshire
  • Stockton-on-Tees

The company website doesn’t really go into extra information about their history but I was able to find out more online. It seems that the group only started in 2021. The man behind it is Tim Harrison who previously setup White Cross Vets before expanding it to 20 branches and selling the business in 2018.

Harrison Family Vets Price List

Helpfully Harrison Family Vets does give some indication of pricing estimates. Though not an obvious link on their website I was able to find the information on their Didsbury registration page. The following are just a small selection of the typical costs for some of the more common services:

  • Vet consultation £45.00
  • Dog & Cat Booster £49.00
  • Bitch spay between £240-300 depending on weight + £60.00 for recommended pre-anaesthetic bloods and fluids.
  • Dog castrate between £149-180 depending on eight + £60.00 for recommended pre-anaesthetic bloods and fluids.
  • ID Chip £16.00

Reviews

Despite having only opened recently the Didsbury branch is already gaining a good number of reviews with a total Google rating of 4.8 at the time of this article. The modern building seems to be mentioned often in the reviews with words like ‘clean’ and mention made of the individual pods they have in the waiting area.

A number of reviews also mention the good value of their Total Wellness Plan. For a monthly fee (£21.50 for dogs and £19.50 for cats) you get free unlimited vet consultations, all routine vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, nail clippings and many other free benefits as well as discounts on neutering and dental treatments.

All in all it seems that Harrison Family Vets is a welcome addition for Manchester pet owners. Feel free to leave a comment if you have personal experience of this vet. Alternatively why not read some of our other articles about local Manchester vets as follows:
